In fact, before the arrival of the <strong>CPT 10\/77 model<\/strong>, the company was using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecmargroup.com\/en\/catalogo\/mobile_dryers-2\/nano-en\/model-nano_5_40_t-69\">NANO 6\/47 T2<\/a> dryer. With the aim of <strong>doubling the amount of maize dried in one day<\/strong>, the company opted for a mobile dryer from the CPT series: the CPT 10\/77 T.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to the CPT10 dryer, the company is now able to <strong>dry\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>cool around 22.5 tonnes of grain in just 5 hours<\/strong>, which greatly <strong>reduces<\/strong> the <strong>time<\/strong> spent drying and cooling the corn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the drying phase, the customer confirmed that the <strong>moisture level of the maize had dropped by 6 percentage points<\/strong>, <strong>from 19% to 13%<\/strong>. This reduction avoids the occurrence of aflatoxins and moulds, thus ensuring <strong>optimum preservation of the dried product<\/strong> and a higher profit after the sale of the grain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fact, at the time of harvesting, the <strong>humidity of the maize is 18-19%<\/strong> and after drying, it is brought down to 13% to make it more suitable for storage, without risk. In this way, the humidity reaches a level where maximum safety is guaranteed.<\/p>\n<h2>Why is it important to dry corn?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Correctly <strong>cleaned and dried corn<\/strong> can be <strong>stored<\/strong> for several months in a controlled humidity and ventilation environment. The drying phase is therefore fundamental because not only does it <strong>allow the quality of the harvested grain to be maintained<\/strong>, but it also makes it possible to eliminate the risk of mycotoxins, aflatoxins and fungi compromising the correct storage of maize for long periods of time. Drying your corn will enable you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">align the way your farm operates with the main <strong>safety standards<\/strong> in terms of grain storage;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">help your farm <strong>increase profits<\/strong> from the sale of the dried crop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the processed <strong>product<\/strong> is <strong>intended<\/strong> <strong>for<\/strong> <strong>storage<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>sale<\/strong>, the temperature of the drying air can vary between 90 and 120 \u00b0C. If <strong>the corn is from seed<\/strong>, the temperature should not exceed <strong>55 \u00b0C<\/strong>.
