Furthermore, the fact that the market recognises cereals treated with quality processes as having a <strong>higher economic value<\/strong> directs the customer to look for a solution with precise technical characteristics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Freshly harvested from the field, maize and soya have a <strong>moisture content that typically varies between 18% and 25%<\/strong>. The presence of more or less water in the grain depends on <strong>two<\/strong> main <strong>factors<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the <strong>degree of ripeness of the grain<\/strong> at the time it is harvested<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the <strong>climatic<\/strong> <strong>conditions<\/strong> typical of a specific territory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mecmar<\/strong> has designed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecmargroup.com\/en\/catalogo\/mobile_dryers-2\/ssi-en\/model-ssi_28_230_t2-22\">SSI 28\/230 T2 BIO mobile dryer<\/a> to meet the needs of the facility.<\/p>\n<h2>Choosing a BIO mobile dryer: what are the advantages?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despite the fact that maize is <strong>one of the cereal types that best adapts to the surrounding climate<\/strong>, attention must be paid to a few decisive aspects during the drying phase in order to ensure <strong>homogenous<\/strong> and <strong>uniform<\/strong> <strong>processing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First and foremost, it is essential to dry the grain <strong>within a few days of harvesting<\/strong>. In order to prevent the grain from losing quality &#8211; and therefore value &#8211; the water and moisture naturally present in the barley at the time it is harvested must be reduced. <strong>This prevents the spread of mould and bacteria<\/strong>, which, in the worst case, would render the product unusable and unmarketable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to totally excluding this risk, Mecmar&#8217;s mobile dryers &#8211; the SSI 28\/230 T2 BIO model is an example of this &#8211; are able to <strong>clean and dry the cereal crop in a single machine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result, <strong>maize processing times are significantly reduced<\/strong> while still guaranteeing maximum efficiency. As mentioned earlier &#8211; even though maize is the cereal that best adapts to the territory in which it grows &#8211; it is still necessary to <strong>choose a solution that is able to guarantee a drying process that preserves all the nutrients in the grain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>The solution adopted<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Having understood the company&#8217;s <strong>needs in terms of productivity and size<\/strong>, it was decided to install the SSI 28\/230 TB BIO mobile dryer with the following characteristics<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">capacity of <strong>28 tonnes of maize per cycle<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BIO version with heat exchanger<\/strong> to guarantee a drying process with 100% clean air<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>tractor-driven<\/strong> for flexibility of use in any space, independent of power supply<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the dryer can be <strong>transported<\/strong> <strong>anywhere<\/strong> and at any time, depending on the customer&#8217;s needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Mecmar mobile dryer <strong>combinesrobustness<\/strong>, <strong>power<\/strong> and <strong>compactness<\/strong> in a single system. In addition, the presence of the <strong>heat<\/strong> <strong>exchanger<\/strong> ensures that the barley is dried without it coming into contact with the products of combustion.
